Thirukalyanam performed

Holy event: Tirumanjanam being performed to Sri Boomidevi ‘samedha’ Srinivasaperumal at Innambur.
KUMBAKONAM: The 38th Thirukalyana mahotsavam of Sri Boomidevi ‘samedha’ Srinivasaperumal Temple at Innambur near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district was performed on Friday.
Vaikanasa Sarvabowma Konerirajapuram S. Sampath Bhattachar Swamigal conducted the Thirukalyanam. Hundreds of people witnessed the event. Earlier in the day, special tirumanjanam was performed to the God and Goddess. Perumal and Boomidevi gave darshan to people on Garudavahana (Garudasevai) in the evening.
The temple is to be renovated soon and mahasamprokshanam performed. Innambur is in the Cauvery delta, nestling among paddy fields and coconut groves. Veeravalli family installed the image of Lord of Venkateswara at the temple.
