CBI searches sewer lines

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A forensic team of the Central Bureau of Investigation probing the Aarushi murder case on Friday searched the sewer lines around the Sector 25 house of Aarushi in Noida looking for evidence.

Labourers were employed in the morning to search for metal objects in the slush. The operation went on till late afternoon, but without much success.

On Thursday, Dr. Talwar was subjected to a second round of polygraph test before being produced in a special Ghaziabad court that sent him to 14 days’ judicial custody. The CBI is also going through the post mortem reports of both Aarushi and her domestic help Hemraj while trying to determine who was killed first.

Dr. Talwar’s bail application is expected to come up for hearing on Saturday. His wife Nupur and relatives have been claiming that he is innocent.

The CBI also contacted former police officer K. K. Gautam for details about the circumstances under which he discovered Hemraj’s body.
