HUBLI: Prem Chand, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Hubli Division, has called upon students to make efforts to reduce emission of greenhouse gases.

He was speaking at a programme organised on the occasion of World Environment Day at the Railway English Medium High School here on Thursday.

“One should take initiatives towards creating a low carbon economy by finding alternative renewable energy sources and by adopting eco-friendly consumption habits and lifestyle,” Mr. Prem Chand said.

He asked the students to avoid unnecessary use of vehicles.

He told them to contribute towards preserving water bodies.
