Contract given for bus shelters
NEW DELHI: To beautify the Capital ahead of the Commonwealth Games in 2010, Delhi Transport Corporation on Friday awarded the contract for the second phase of Bus-Q-Shelters to Jindal Stainless Limited. Covering key routes from Dhaula Kuan to Inter-State Bus Terminus, the project envisages 400 new bus shelters. Stainless steel with its natural sheen and aesthetic appeal will be used to design the bus shelters.“We have taken up the project to decorate the Capital by 2010. The DTC will not have to pay anything for the bus shelters,” said Jindal director N. C. Mathur
