Bijapur
Bijapur: Members of the District Bar Association took out a procession here on Saturday to protest against the decision to bring Bijapur district under the purview of the Gulbarga Circuit Bench. The president of the association, V.S. Patil said that since Bijapur district was part of the Belgaum Revenue Division, people depended on government departments located in Hubli and Dharwad. Bringing Bijapur under the purview of the Dharwad Circuit Bench would help in speedy disposal of cases and help litigants, he said.
