BHUBANESWAR: After seizure of mobile phones from jails in Bhubaneswar and Puri, the police have seized mobile phones from the Bolangir district jail. Two mobile phones were seized from the Bolangir jail when a district police team conducted a surprise raid on Friday night. Surprisingly, one of the mobile phones was seized from dreaded gangster Hyder. The other phone set was seized from the office of a jail staff. The phone was allegedly being used by the gangster. In fact, the raid was conducted to find out if Hyder was kept under handcuff as per a recent order of a local court. But the police team found that the gangster was moving free with the jail staff violating the court direction. It may be recalled that as many as six mobile phones and a large number of compact discs with pornographic visuals had been seized when a surprise raid was conducted on the Special Jail in the Capital city a few weeks ago.
