Stock arrives: Over 70 tonnes of fertilizer arrived at the Hassan Railway Station on Saturday and was transported to the State Government warehouse for distribution to farmers. On Friday, 1,000 tonnes of fertilizer arrived for transportation to other districts. However, zilla panchayat chief executive officer Shankarnarayana and Joint Director for Agriculture Mahesh Gowda convinced the company supplying the fertilizer to retain the stock at Hassan itself so that it could be distributed among farmers.
