Two killed in accident

Krishnagiri: Two persons were fatally hit by a lorry at Namaz parai near here on Saturday.

According to police, Vijayalakshmi (35) of Pennagaram and Raghavan (25) were crossing the road near the pedestrian crossing when a speeding lorry going from Bangalore to Chennai knocked them and sped away. The duo sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
