Man killed in accident

PATHANAMTHTTA: A 68-year-old man was killed and five others injured when a van carrying them fell into a ditch by the side of the road at Mandirampady, near Ranni, on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as George Thomas of Mylapra Bhagavathikkunnel.

The injured were Peelipose, driver; Laly, wife of the deceased; and Riyal, Lintu and Rintu, the couple’s children, the police said.
