Panchayat chief voted out

PATHANAMTHTTA: Naranganam grama panchayat president V.P. Manojkumar of the Congress was voted out through a no-confidence motion moved against him by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) on Saturday. The motion was supported by five LDF members, an independent member and the BJP member in the 13-member panchayat committee, while the six United Democratic Front members abstained from voting. — Staff Reporter
