welcome relief: A man ventures out in the rain enjoying the first showers of the season in Warangal on Saturday. HYDERABAD: Mudhole in Adilabad district received a heavy rainfall of 10 cm on Saturday even as the South-West monsoon advanced further, covering southern parts of Telangana and more areas in the rest of the State. According to weathermen at the State Met Office here, “favourable conditions are existing for further advancement of the monsoon”, causing rains in the state. During the 24-hour period ending 8.30 a.m. on Saturday, Hanamkonda and Sultanabad followed Mudhole closely by recording 6 cm rainfall. The other amounts of rainfall were: Bhadrachalam, Armoor, Palair 4 cm each; Nalgonda, Bheemgal, Sriramsagar, Boath, Mancherial, Huzurabad, Karimnagar, Koyyalagudem, Suryapet, Tanuku, Venkatapuram, Yellandu 3 cm each; and Kakinada, Narsapur, Rentachintala, Tuni, Asifabad, Luxettipet, Sirpur, Atchampet, Mangalagiri, Banswada, Chintalapudi, Koida, Bhimavaram, Coonavaram, Miryalaguda, Prakasam Barrage, Bhimadole, Polavaram, Tadepalligudem, Chennur and Utnoor each 2 cm.
