Orders issued to subsidise LPG

HYDERABAD: The government issued orders on Saturday for keeping a sum of Rs. 26 crore a month at the disposal of the Civil Supplies Commissioner towards subsidy announced by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy for LPG at Rs 50 per cylinder. The Commissioner, in turn, would release half of this amount (Rs. 13 crore) as “upfront payment” to the oil companies and the other half after submission of detailed district-wise bills.
