HASSAN: Nanjappa, 53, from Dasegowdana Koppalu village in Hallimysore hobli of Holenarsipura taluk committed suicide on Friday by consuming pesticide. Superintendent of Police K.V. Sharatchandra giving details here on Saturday said that farmer Nanjappa availed Rs. 2.3 lakh loan from Cauvery Gramin Bank and another Rs. 1 lakh as hand loan. He had two sons – Ravi, 22, and Ganesha, 19, and daughter Geeta, 24, who is married. He consumed pesticide on May 30 and died on June 6. — Staff Correspondent
