Belgaum
Belgaum: The official committee on the formation of new taluks constituted by the State Government would be sitting in Belgaum to elicit views on the proposals (to form new taluks) from the district administration, besides from representatives of people and various social organisations in the district on Monday (June 9). Official sources said here on Saturday that the committee would hold two separate meetings — with the district administration, including senior officials in the Revenue and other departments in the morning and elected representatives and representatives of various organisations in the afternoon. Deputy Commissioner M.E. Shivalingamurthy appealed to all sections of society and various organisations to attend the meeting to present their view points before the committee members. — Staff Correspondent
