THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cooperative banks are being asked to provide interest exemption to the heirs who come forward to close the loan accounts of persons who have taken loans of up to Rs 2 lakhs within a year of their death. The exemption will be for the period from the death to the closing of the loan account.
