Man denied bail for duping old woman

New Delh: A Delhi court has dismissed the bail plea of a man who duped an 82-year-old woman of Rs 1 crore by transferring her shares to his account on the false promise of high returns.

“In view of the seriousness and gravity of the allegations involved, the nature of the offence and modus operandi adopted by the accused, no ground for bail is made out,” Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau said.

Khosla was arrested three months back after an FIR was lodged by victim Promila Dhawan, against him accusing him of breach of trust and cheating.
