V-C showing bias, allege vet medicos
HYDERABAD: Junior doctors and medicos of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University have threatened to lay siege to the Vice-Chancellor’s chambers if the Academic Council was not convened by June 13 and their problems not solved.
A. Keshav Naik, president, and Shiva Rama Krishna Rao, vice-president, in a statement issued here on Saturday said the problems included rules and regulations which harm the interests of students in completing their study in an academic year.
They alleged favouritism by the Vice-Chancellor in appointments to the posts of professors and diversion of funds meant for student welfare.
