The PERME Trust was started in the year 2001 with a view to provide quality education for the benefit of the people in and around Shoilinghur and Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering is functioning under the chairmanship of Thiru.A.M.Velu, Ex.M.P Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering and Sri Bharathi Velu Polytechnic College are located on Jambukulam Road which is 12 km away from Walajah and 13 km away from Sholinghur on an area of 30 acres.

This college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to Anna University , Chennai. This college provide presently popular branches like Computer Technology , Information Technology , Electrical and Electronics , Electronics and Communication and Master of Computer Application. Admission are made as per the government fixed fees.

Further candidates admitted with more than 80% of marks are given a scholarship amount to the extent of 10%

All subject are taught by experienced, and efficient dedicated lecturers. Personality development programmes , communication skill development programme, interview techniques programmes are also provided to student with a view to get placement.

All the department are provided with technical subject book in addition to a fully equipped common library containing more than 15,000 books.

Disicipline is given top priority inside the college campus. Calm, conducive and congenial atmosphere is maintained to have better learning process.

College has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. It provides bus facility from Vellore, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Sholinghur , Arcot, Kanchipuram, and Chittoor. Medical facility is also provided for the boys and girls.

Saraswathi Engineering College and Sri Bharathi Velu Ploytechnic College is functioning efficiently with the valuable guidance of highly experienced and dedicated Director Professor.A.Balamani who is an asset.
