Nedumbassery: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will soon come to a grinding halt due to the flawed policies of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government, the former Transport Minister R. Balakrishna Pillai has said. Talking to The Hindu here on Saturday, he said the failure of the corporation to distribute pension to its emplo- yees had aggravated the crisis. He said the condition of KSRTC would not have improved even if a hike in diesel prices were not made as it had already hit the rock bottom. He denied reports that the corporation was on a come back trail by registering a record profit last month. “Nobody will be able to save the KSRTC from its crisis unless the State governme nt takes up the liability of the pension expenses,” he said.
