Tripura cuts fuel cess

Agartala: The Tripura government on Saturday reduced the cess on fuel from 5 to 2.5 per cent. A notification has been issued, Special Secretary, Finance, R.K. Dey Chowdhury said. The reduced rates would come into immediate effect. The price of petrol has been reduced from Rs. 49.89 per litre to Rs. 47.85 per litre and the price of diesel has been reduced from Rs. 34.34 to Rs. 33.68 per litre. — PTI
