Bihar junior doctors strike work
Special Correspondent
PATNA: Junior doctors of medical college hospitals in Bihar struck work on Saturday to protest against government action against their colleagues at the Patna Medical College Hospital for their alleged unruly behaviour against journalists and a lawyer.
Medical services were affected as junior doctors of the Nalanda Medical College Hospital here and the Shri Krishna Medical College Hospital in Muzaffarpur closed all wards. They alleged that the government was treating their colleagues as criminals.
The police obtained non-bailable arrest warrants against 10 junior doctors and a technician for allegedly assaulting three photographers and a lawyer’s family.
Meanwhile, lawyers held a meeting and decided not to plead the cases of these doctors.
