Naidu: UPA harassing UNPA partners

Staff Reporter

ELURU (A.P.): Telugu Desam Party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday accused the UPA government of harassing the United National Progressive Alliance partners by using the CBI.

Talking to journalists at Palakole near here, Mr. Naidu who is the UNPA convener, criticised the filing of a charge-sheet by the CBI against former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala. He recalled that the government had earlier directed the investigating agency to file a case against Samajwadi party president, Mulayam Singh.

The TDP leader warned that the UNPA partners would resort to joint action if the present regime at the Centre persisted with its ‘vindictive actions.’ He alleged that the CBI had lost its credibility and turned into a “Congress Bureau of Investigation,” during the UPA regime.
