Extortion case registered

Mumbai: The Mumbai police have registered a case of extortion and forgery against Abu Kasim Azmi, brother of Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi, along with three others.

The MIDC police registered the case against Mr. Azmi, Mohammad Aslam, Jamaluddin Shaikh and Riyaz Ahmed on a complaint filed by 74-year-old Layek Ahmed Mohammed Shaikh that they forcibly made him sign on blank documents and took possession of his 3,189.5-acre land at Andheri. — PTI
