Gurrik to start on pole

Coimbatore: Mumbai’s Gurrik Mann squeezed the best out of his kart to clinch the prime position in the senior class for Sunday’s race in the qualifying round of the JK Tyre Rotax Mojo Max Karting Challenge at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam on Saturday.

Gurrik handled the tight circuit smartly to clock the fastest lap timing of 00:40:365.

Parth Ghorpade proved a tough nut to crack in the junior category. He set the fastest lap timing of 00:40:315 for the top spot. Chittesh and Chennai’s Vishnu Prasad will start second and third respectively.

Dhruv Mohite timed 00:48:779 for the pole in the Micro Max class.
