Devadula pipe develops leakage again

Staff Reporter

WARANGAL: The Devadula pipeline developed a leakage near Palampet village in Venkatapur mandal, leaving standing paddy crop to an extent of 25 acres inundated.

The valve of the pipeline came off due to the force of the water and water gushed out of the pipeline, rising to a height of 15 metres.

Fields inundated

Before the officials could spot and stop the trial run, the agricultural fields were inundated. The trial run was aimed at inspecting the pipeline and pumping water into the Dharmasagar tank.

The officials immediately stopped the trial run and efforts were on to fit the valve that was washed away.
