THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A three-week State-wide ‘magic mission’ against seasonal epidemics titled ‘Monsoon Magic’ is currently underway at Kottayam. The show, a joint venture between magician Gopinath Muthukad’s Magic Academy and the Information and Public Relations Department, will highlight the importance of environmental conservation and epidemic prevention through magic. Through a magical number, the magician will show how by keeping household utensils and vessels in inverted positions can prevent accumulation of water in them. The tricks ‘screen magic’ and ‘shadow stunt’ will teach the public on how to save water, control the use of plastic and manage solid waste in a prudent manner. The show will conclude with a pollution-free Kerala message. The show will cover each district headquarter a day. The mission will conclude in the city on June 21.
