‘CPI could have ruled Telangana’

Staff Reporter

Sangareddy: The CPI state secretary Narayana spoke about the missed opportunities here on Tuesday said that Communists would have ruled Telangana if they had not agreed to the formation of the State clubbing the Andhra with the Telangana regions. He was here to participate in the district-level party meeting. He opined that both Jawaharlal Nahru and Sonia Gandhi have toyed with the sentiments of the people by offering doles to Telangana. He said that the Congress must recognise that the experiments to keep the areas together have failed and it’s high time that Telangana is given. “All the political parties except CPI (M) agreed for formation of the State,” he said stressing the need to carve a separate state.
