CHENNAI: Southern Railway general manager Rakesh Chopra, in a message on the occasion of the centenary of Egmore Station building, said, “The inspiring and imposing building of Chennai Egmore railway station is a constant reminder of the Railway’s age-long commitment to provide an environment in which our customers experience care, comfort, convenience and cleanliness. On the completion of 100 years of this glorious building, which is an architectural land mark of Chennai, we dedicate ourselves to providing world class facilities for all rail customers. We seek their cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and healthy environment at our stations and on our trains.”
