Badminton
KOCHI: The Kerala State senior badminton championship will be held at the Udyogamandal Club, Eloor, near here, from September 2 to 7. The junior State championship will be held in Thiruvananthapuram’s Jimmy George Stadium in August, while Kochi’s Regional Sports Centre will host the sub-junior event during the same month. The Kerala badminton calendar: TKV Memorial senior-ranking prize-money tournament (Jimmy George Stadium, Tvm, August 1 to 3); Savithri Saboo all-Kerala junior-ranking tournament (V.K.K. Menon Stadium, Kozhikode, August 8 to 10); State sub-junior, masters and veterans championship (RSC Kochi, August 13 to 16); Kochi Refinery all-Kerala open tournament (Kochi Refinery, August 17 to 20); State junior championship (Jimmy George Stadium, Tvm, August 27 to 31); State senior championship (Udyogamandal Club, Eloor, September 3 to 7). — Principal Correspondent
