Two die of snake bite

TIRUNELVELI: Two persons, including a farmer, died of snake bite.

The police said K. Vellapandi (70) of Nerkattumseval was sleeping in his farm at Periyoor under the Karivalamvanthanallur police station limits on Monday night.

After a poisonous snake bit the old man, he was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

In another incident, K. Sekar (45) of Keezhaneelithanallur under Panaivadalichathram police station limits suffered snake bite when he was standing near the bricks kept in front of his house in the early hours of Tuesday.
