Draft list of polling stations published

PUDUKOTTAI: The draft list of the Polling Area and new polling stations of the six Assembly Constituencies of Gandharvakottai (reserved), Viralimalai, Pudukottai, Tirumayam, Alangudi and Aranthangi in the district as per the Constituency Delimitation Commission was published on Tuesday.

As per the direction of the Election Commission of India, the draft list of the new polling stations has been displayed at the Collectorate, offices of the Revenue Divisional Officers and taluk offices for the benefit of the common people and political parties.

File objections

The people and representatives of political parties who would like to make views or objections if any on the new polling stations should present the same either in person or in writing to the authorities on or before June 16. In case of non-receipt of any objection within the specified date, it would be construed that there is no objection for the polling area and the polling stations and necessary recommendation would be made to the Election Commission of India to issue final list of areas and booths, a press release of the District Collector, Reeta Harish Thakkar issued here said.
