Action against Devadula staff opposed

WARANGAL: Engineers of Irrigation Department sported black badges and protested against the government’s decision on suspension and shifting of their seniors holding them responsible for Devadula pipeline leakage.

The engineers staged a demonstration at the circle office accusing the government of making them ‘scapegoats’ for no fault of theirs. The engineers demanded for withdrawal of disciplinary action against the officials of the department.

Taking a serious view of the leakage on the pipeline and the recent one at Venkatapur mandal, the State government has decided to place under suspension Executive Engineer M Dharma Reddy and shift Superintending Engineer V. Surender Reddy.
