Shops burgled

Chittoor: Unidentified assailants broke open the shutters of Vinod Electronics and Reliance Mayuri Communications and made away with Rs.48,000 and Rs.17,000 respectively on Wednesday. The shops are situated in Durga Complex Opposite District Police office a few yards from 1 Town Police Station. The proprietor of Vinod Electronics Mr. Umapathi reported the theft to the police. CI Somasekhar Reddy visited the scene and have registered a case. Investigations are going on.
