Hill tribes on dharna for ST categorisation

ADILABAD: Members of primitive hill tribes like Gond and Kolam staged a dharna in front of the district collectorate on Wednesday demanding ST categorisation. The dharna was organised under the aegis of the Tudum Debba or the Adivasula Hakkula Porata Samiti. Boath MLA Soyam Bapu Rao stated that the benefits provided to STs through reservation were being cornered by the Lambada plain tribes entirely. -Staff Reporter
