Construction worker dies

KOCHI: One construction worker died and another was seriously injured when a concrete slab fell on them at a worksite.

Hasmat Mandal, 27, was declared dead when rushed to the Ernakulam Medical Centre on Wednesday.

Jhalam Mandal, 24, was admitted to MAJ Hospital. Both were working at the site of construction of house by one Joseph Thumbassery at Thammanam. Hasmat hails from West Bengal.
