Meet to assess health situation

Kasaragod: A high-level meeting will be held here on June 19 in the wake of fresh cases of viral fever and symptoms of chikungunya being reported from remote hamlets in the district.

The decision to hold the meeting was taken at a meeting of the Health Department Principal Secretaries of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka held recently in Bangalore, official sources said. A special team from the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital visited the worst-affected areas on Thursday. — PTI
