JAIPUR: The Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sansthan will spend Rs.18.44 crore on various training programmes and schemes during 2008-09. The annual budget for the government-run institution has been approved by its Executive Council at a meeting here. State Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Kalulal Gujjar, presiding over the meeting, said while Rs.16.44 crore would be spent on the training programmes, the budgetary provision for other activities would be Rs.1.99 crore. The Executive Council approved an expenditure of Rs.24.80 lakh against the income generated by renting out the auditorium and other wings of the Panchayati Raj Sansthan. The institution will spend Rs.42 lakh on the training of newly-appointed Gram Sevaks.
