Augustine, Jayaseeli win

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Augustine Thomas (Ernakulam) and S. Jayaseeli (Coimbatore) won the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the 42nd LIC South Zone chess tournament which concluded here on Wednesday.

Augustine was tied with V. Rejith (Thiruvananthapuram) with 4.5 points after both players drew their sixth round match against each other.

Augustine was declared the winner by toss.
