9-crore nod for Sangam Vihar

NEW DELHI: Delhi Urban Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan has informed the Saket MLA, Vijay Jolly, that development works worth nearly Rs.9 crore have been sanctioned for the unauthorised colony of Sangam Vihar.

The Minister informed the MLA that Sangam Vihar, spread over an area of 575 acres, had been allotted a sum of Rs.8.99 crore for construction of permanent roads and side drains.

The Irrigation and Flood Control Department would also undertake civic works in the area.

Other demands

During a meeting with the Minister, Mr. Jolly, accompanied by the area Councillor and other local representatives, also demanded complete electrification and illumination of Sangam Vihar by BSES within the next two months.

He also asked for underground water sewerage to be provided in Sangam Vihar.
