‘Child labour offshoot of poverty’

KOLAR: A strong financial position of parents would help eradicate the child labour system, MLA Varthur Prakash said. He was speaking after inaugurating the World Day Against Child Labour here on Thursday. “Child labour is the offshoot of poverty and unemployment,” Mr. Prakash said. Chief guest Deputy Commissioner F.R. Jamadar,Zilla Panchayat President A.C. Nagarathna, KGF MLA Y. Sampangi and Deputy Director of Public Instructions Nagarajan spoke at the function.
