Polls exposed double standards: KCR

Correspondent

MAHABUBNAGAR: TRS Chief K. Chandrashekar Rao said that the recent byelections caused due to their resignation have exposed double standards of Telugu Desam and Congress parties towards formation of Telangana state.

Addressing party broad based meeting at Nagarkurnool town in the district on Thursday he said that during the electioneering leaders of both parties have sung Telangana songs and now they are singing united Andhra Pradesh songs, “the byelections have exposed their treacherous behaviour of TDP and Congress,” he said. TRS president said byelections were like trial run to them to 2009 elections. “We would learn from the defeat in byelections and by the way we could succeed in exposing TDP and Congress parties hidden stand towards formation of Telangana state.”
