‘Laddu’ gimmick

Who’s ever heard of branding ‘prasadam’? While reports of the Tirumala Tirupati Devesthanam were splashed in papers revealing that the 300 year-old ‘laddu’ prasadam would now have intellectual property rights, it looks like corporate ethics has seeped into temple administration as well.

Many people from the city feel that the authorities ought to get their act right while branding these laddus, as the move itself looks like a pure business gimmick.
