HYDERABAD: Ravi Teja’s knock of 64 enabled St. John’s School defeat St. Patrick’s ‘A’ by 24 runs in the under-13 final of the Paradise Persis Gold Cup cricket tournament here on Wednesday. In the under-11 final, St. Patrick’s ‘A’ posted an eight-wicket win over St. John’s. Dr. Kazim, Proprietor of Paradise Hotel, who was the chief guest, gave away the prizes. The scores (finals): Under-11: St. John’s 117 for seven (Lohith 45, Mervin 28) lost to St. Patrick’s ‘A’ 118 for two (Nitesh 37, Chandu 30, Bhagath 21). Under-13: St. John’s 151 for nine (Ravi Teja 64, Shiva Prasad 32, Nitesh four for 31) bt St. Patrick’s ‘A’ 127 for seven (Ravi 53). AP teamsThe Andhra Pradesh boys and girls teams will take part in the sub-junior National basketball championships at Sainik School, Kapurthala, from June 15 to 21, according to Norman Isaac, Joint Secretary and Treasurer, Andhra Pradesh Basketball Association.
