KOCHI: Registrations will conclude on Friday evening for the pre-admission guidance programme being organised by The Hindu-Educationplus in Kochi on June 14 for the benefit of those seeking entry to professional courses in engineering, medical and other streams. A top official from the Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations is a member of the panel of experts who will make presentations at the programme, being organised at A. J. Hall, Kaloor. A key presentation will focus on the modalities for choosing one’s course and college options and avoiding common mistakes while doing so. It will also outline the points that students should keep in mind while going through the Centralised Allotment Process. Presentations on the engineering and medical streams will aim at helping students gain a clear idea of the main courses and make judicious choices. The importance of soft skills in career building will also be focussed upon in the programme. Students will have an opportunity to raise questions and have their doubts cleared at the extended question and answer session towards the end of the programme. A handbook providing a detailed overview of the various courses in the professional stream will be provided free to each participant. The event is being organised in association with State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and co-sponsored by Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E). The radio partner for the event is 94.3 Club FM. Students can register themselves for the programme on payment of the registration fee of Rs.50 each. The registration form is available at the office of the The Hindu (Address: NH Bypass road, Vyttila junction, Kochi 682 019, Phone: 0484-2301653, 2307836.) Provisional registration can also be sought by email: kochicir@thehindu.co.in. In such cases the actual registration will take place on the spot, before the programme commences.
