Thefts solved; 5 held

NEW DELHI: Five young men have been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police for alleged involvement in several cases of theft.

Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap near a park in Sector 15 of Rohini and arrested the accused while they were allegedly planning to commit dacoity at a jeweller’s shop. Two knives, two screw drivers and an iron rod have allegedly been seized from them.

During interrogation, the accused purportedly told the police that they would look out for people withdrawing huge sums of cash from banks and then rob them.
