Sincere cadre will be rewarded: TDP chief

Special Correspondent

‘I have paid the penalty for not doing that and I will not repeat the mistake’

PAYAKARAOPETA: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu has promised to take care of party workers as he understood how important they are.

“It is true that I have not concentrated more on you when we were in power and I paid the penalty for the same. But this time, I will not repeat the mistake,” he told party leaders and workers from Tuni Assembly constituency (in East Godavari) at a review meeting held here on Friday.

Those who worked hard for the party and its success would get recognition and properly rewarded once the party regained power, Mr. Naidu assured the party workers.

He said his ongoing Mee Kosam programme was receiving good response from people and it was for the party and its workers to make best use of it to regain power.

‘No time to relax’

He told the workers not to relax for the next nine months and get nearer to the people through programmes like ‘Palle Nidra’ and ‘Racchabanda’.

“Create confidence in them by getting involved in their problems. This will give better results than highlighting the Congress Government’s failures,” Mr. Naidu said.

Referring to Tuni, being represented by TDP Polit Bureau member Y. Ramakrishnudu uninterruptedly for the last 27 years, and the Payakaraopeta constituency, where also the TDP was winning since 1983, as bastions of the party, the TDP leader said better majority here next time would indicate popularity of the party.

He appreciated Mr. Ramakrishnudu for taking care of the constituency well.

A few party workers said they were not facing many problems and even the few were being solved by Mr. Ramakrishnudu.
