Several awards in the name of tribal heroes have been instituted Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Minister for Forests and Tribal Welfare Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that the State Government was preparing an encyclopaedia of tribal languages and also launching F M channels in tribal-dominated districts. “An encyclopaedia of tribal languages is being prepared. Bheel, Gondi and Korku language encyclopaedia are ready....F M channels in tribal-dominated districts including Dhar and Jhabua are being launched. These channels will be launched at 10 centres across the state,” an official release quoting him said. Speaking at a public welfare camp here, Mr. Shah, who is a party in-charge of the district, said such schemes were being launched for the benefit of the people at the grass root level. Referring to the contributions made by tribals during the freedom struggle, Mr. Shah said considering the fact the State Government has instituted several awards in the name of heroes including Rs.2 lakh award in the name of Tantya Bheel. Besides, he said similar award have been constituted in the name of Shankarshah, Raghunath Shah and others who played significant role during the war of Independence. Minister for Labour and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Jagdish Dewada, chairperson of the district panchayat Savitri Thakur, Jaswant Singh Rathore and Mukam Singh Nigwal (both MLAs) were among those present at the function on Thursday. Mr. Dewada said that the State Government was committed for the welfare of the people and keeping this into consideration medical assistance under Deen Dayal Upadhya Scheme has been raised up to Rs.30,000 from Rs.20,000. Similarly, he said the government was extending financial assistance of Rs.75,000 in case of serious illness as also bearing the entire costs of treatment in certain cases.- PTI
