Begusarai: A fast track court on Friday sentenced five persons to life imprisonment in Bihar’s Begusarai district of Bihar after they were convicted of murdering an advocate over a decade ago. Fast track court judge Daya Shanker Tiwari awarded life term to Anil Mahto, Surendra Mahto, Virendra Mahto, Siyaram Mahto and Manoj Mahto for killing advocate Virendra Kumar, their neighbour, over a land dispute. Virendra Kumar was shot dead on October 29, 1996 near the Veterinary Hospital under Begusarai town police station when he was on his way to court.
