Ankita stuns Isha
GURGAON: Ankita Bhambri upset top-seeded Isha Lakhani 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals of the ITF women’s tennis tournament here on Friday.
In the other semifinal, Rushmi Chakravarthi was a class act in the decider that was delayed by a few hours owing to inclement weather, in scripting a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over qualifier Thuy-Dung Nguyen of Vietnam.

Semifinals: Ankita Bhambri bt Isha Lakhani 6-4, 6-4; Rushmi Chakravarthi bt Thuy-Dung Nguyen (Vie) 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Doubles (final): Elina Gasanova (Rus) & Isha Lakhani bt Ankita Bhambri & Sanaa Bhambri 6-3, 6-4.
