TANUR: Social critic Sukumar Azhikode has described the late Communist ideologue E.M.S. Namboodiripad as man with a great vision. “We could not give tit-for-tat answer to American President George Bush when he said that Indians were eating too much as we did not have a visionary like EMS,” he said. Mr. Azhikode was delivering the EMS memorial speech as part of the 11th national seminar on ‘The World of EMS’ here on Friday. T.K. Hamza, MP, presided over the seminar. E.M.S. Namboodripad’s daughter E.M. Radha was a guest at the function. CPI(M) leader E.N. Mohandas welcomed the gathering. E. Govindan proposed a vote of thanks. Kerala State Higher Education Council vice-chairman K.N. Panikkar inaugurated a session on ‘When Spirituality Becomes a Trade.’
